Amaechi C. Aloke is a Deputy Director and Project Manager of the Nigerian Power Sector Reform programme at the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE). Mr. Aloke led the team that designed and implemented the privatization programme that ushered in private sector participation in the generation and distribution of electricity in Nigeria. He was also a member of the team that engaged Manitoba Hydro International of Canada as Management Contractors (MC) for the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) Plc. Before leading the team that privatized the power sector, Mr. Aloke has being involved in extensive reform of other public entities including Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA), NITEL, Daily Times Plc., Eleme Petrochemicals, NSPMC etc.
Mr. Amaechi Aloke obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1988. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAN) in 1999 and also holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Enugu State University of Technology (1984).
