Nkiru Chukwuma joined EEDC in April, 2018 as an Assistant Manager, Human Resources, and was responsible for Industrial Relations & Employee Welfare. In August 2018, she was appointed the Manager, Staffing, and in March, 2020, she was appointed Acting Head, Human Resources, a responsibility she effectively handled which led to her confirmation in January, 2021 as the substantive Head, Human Resources.

A graduate of Psychology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, with work experience garnered in both the Public and Private Sector. She worked with Multi Choice, Nigeria and the National Youth Service Corps, where she rose from the rank of Inspector II to Senior Inspector.

She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Nigeria (CIPM), and has attended training on; Project Management, Leadership, Human Resource Competency, etc. Nkiru also obtained a certificate of achievement (Ideas for a Better World: Leading Change through Policy Making) from British Council Future Learn.
